A hosel cannot fix a slice
A slice is created by club-path and face-angle relationships at impact. A hosel can influence loft, face presentation, lie, and expected start direction, but it does not rebuild delivery.
What may help
- A more upright or manufacturer-designated Draw setting may move start direction toward the draw side.
- On some sleeves, adding loft also presents a more-closed face.
- Avoid a flatter or more-open setting when reducing a slice-side pattern is the priority, unless another launch issue requires that tradeoff.
The answer depends on the adapter
Titleist and COBRA offer many loft-and-lie combinations. Callaway offers a D designation. TaylorMade combines loft, lie, and face presentation. PING mainly adds a flat family at the hosel.
Test the pattern
Hit five to ten shots in the current and recommended positions. Compare start direction, curve, strike, launch, and dispersion—not the best single shot.
